Precision Golf’s Team Continues to Grow

New Additions Bring Decades of Experience

The UK’s leading independent club fitting and performance centre, Precision Golf, has continued to grow its enterprises with the addition of  team members, Stuart Cartwright and Mark Woodward.

Now in its 11th year of operation and having recently moved in to a larger, more technologically advanced fitting studio and workshop, Precision Golf’s team has expanded to include PGA Professional Cartwright who brings with him over 20 years of coaching and technical fitting expertise after a previously playing on the European Challenge Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia, along with Woodward’s 25 years of expertise in club building, repairs and retail management.

“With all my clients from tour player to raw beginner, my sole aim is to give every golfer an understanding of how the various components of a golfers game integrate to deliver performance they can rely on,” said Cartwright.

“Working alongside Stuart Robinson, a qualified Chiropractor and Bio-mechanist at PG, every client stepping into the Precision Golf Performance Program is safe in the knowledge their game is in the very best hands.”

“Far too often golfers visit Swing Coaches and Physicians separately, with no communication between the two professionals, this can make swing improvement counterproductive and rehabilitation slow,” said PG’s Co-Founder, James Davey.

“We’re very excited about Stuart Robinson and Stuart Cartwright uniting under one roof to create an unparalleled coaching, biomechanics and rehabilitation service. What makes this relationship so effective is that Robinson, a scratch golfer will be working closely with Cartwright at the PG Studio allowing them to synergise on both swing mechanics and biomechanics objectives.”

Stuart has been in golf since 1993 having started to learn his trade at World of Golf in New Malden. In the late 90s he became a full-time tournament professional playing on both the Challenge Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. His experience in Australia allowed him to work with the Paul Chek Institute to develop his passion for the anatomical aspects of golf such as strength and condition and performance programmes.

Stuart has worked with a number of European Tour players including Steve Webster, as well as European Seniors Tour Professional, Mark Davis. Stuart is currently Nick Dougherty’s full time coach and caddie.

Mark Woodward brings over 25 years of experience in the golf industry with expertise in the fields of club building, fitting as well golf retail management. Having previously worked at Callaway Golf as one of their main repair technicians, Mark has handled a huge variety of work from across the whole of Europe.

Mark has also held a Category 1 handicap for over 30 years, with the majority of that time as a squad member for the Surrey ‘A’ Team. Along the way he has held two course records, won eight club championships and been a county medal winner. Mark has an unrivalled passion for the game and relishes the challenge of helping others to improve their game and achieve their golfing goals.

The addition of Stuart and Mark to the team comes as long-time club-fitter, Jack Symons, moves on to pastures new, but his efforts and influence across many years of service have not gone unnoticed:

Jack was an incredible person to work with and a massive part of Precision Golf’s story,” said PG Co-Founder, Simon Cooper. “In the 5 years he has been with us, Jack has helped us to establish the company as a truly independent operation with experts in the team. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours!”
